Choir of the Orthodox Brotherhood of St. Archangel Michael  

The choir of the Orthodox Brotherhood of St. Archangel Michael consists of 21 singers (10 women and 11 men). The collective has both mixed and men programs (the latter performed by 8-11 persons).

The choir was established in 1992 and, since 1995, has been singing in the church of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God built by the Brotherhood. All the singers are professional musicians and students of musical schools.

The choir won the award of the 4^th Orthodox Chant Festival, which was held in Minsk. It regularly participates in religious concerts performing Russian, Greek, Georgian and Serbian chants. Today it has recorded several music tapes and 3 CDs (“Requiem”, “Spiritual Orthodox chants” and “Canticle to the Cross”).

The choir undertook several pilgrimages across Belarus and abroad. The most memorable one was the pilgrimage to the Valaam monastery, where it participated in the worship attended by Patriarch Alexy 2^nd.

The precentor of the choir is Elena Dikhtievskaya, Assistant Professor of the Belarus Pedagogic University.

The choirmaster and soloist is Andrey Kulinkovich, student of the Choir and Vocal Department of the Belarus Academy of Music.
